A CPAP machine delivers a single pressure of continuous airflow through the face mask. On the other hand, a BiPAP machine provides two pressure settings: one for inhalation and a lower pressure for exhalation.
Working principle of Bipap machine ?
A BiPAP machine is a type of positive airway pressure (PAP) device. PAP devices are used to treat sleep apnea and other respiratory conditions. They work by delivering a stream of air through a mask that you wear while you sleep. The air pressure is adjustable and set at a level that is just enough to keep your airway open while you sleep. BiPAP machines are programmed to deliver air at an inhalation pressure (IPAP) when the person inhales through the mask and tubing. When the person exhales, the BiPAP unit senses the change and switches to a lower exhalation pressure (EPAP).
What is the difference between BiPAP & CPAP ?
What are the benefits of using a BiPAP machine?
BiPAP machines are used to manage Central Sleep Apnea, Complex Sleep Apnea, or COP.
It’s noninvasive. This means it doesn’t need to be inserted inside your body. Noninvasive ventilation has fewer risks than invasive ventilation.
\What is the cost of a BiPAP & CPAP machine?
The cost of a BiPAP machine can vary depending on the brand and features. In India, the basic BiPAP machine comes in the market with the lowest price of 30,000 INR to higher price range up to 45,000 INR. The advanced BiPAP machine price with Volume assured pressure setting ranges between 75,000- 95,000 INR.
The cost of a CPAP machine can vary depending on the types, brands & features of the device. In India, on average, CPAP machine price ranges as low as 20,000 and goes up to 1.5 lakhs.
To write a content on this is not easy because there will be a lot of information. So tried to inform a Non-tech person in a very superficial way. Thank you.
